Evidenced Based

The Primary Health Care Sciences Group Oxford University demonstrated that self-monitoring with a Wellpoint resulted in population-level reductions in blood pressure. Even small reductions in the population results meant an overall reduction in cardiovascular risk.

Tower Hamlets

An evaluation of the contribution that digital devices can make in improving health and wellbeing in Tower Hamlets

Uptake of the Wellpoint kiosk was high - over 2600 people registered to use the machines over the two-month pilot period. No users were restricted from using the Wellpoint kiosks - data captured at the time of use shows that it appealed to both those in and outside of the target age group – exceeding pre-pilot expectations.

Pilot Results Data

At the conclusion of the 2-month pilot:

  • 109 tests had been carried by clinicians using standard methods
  • 2643 test were carried out using deployed Wellpoint kiosks
